On Monday, January 9, our new Regional Account Manager, Shauni De Donder, was invited to the New Year’s reception hosted by VOKA (the Flemish business network). The theme of the evening was “Slagkracht.” While we face numerous challenges and difficulties, our “strength” (resilience, agility, and workforce) as businesses is unmatched.
Several people and companies were asked to explain what the term "slagkracht" meant to them, including Shauni (at 2:29). Her answer can be summed up in one word: "DOORZETTINGSVERMOGEN"... which can be translated as "PERSEVERANCE."
What does that word mean to Shauni?
🗣"The secret to achieving your goal can be summed up in a single word: perseverance. Success doesn't happen by chance. You have to work hard, learn, study, fall (a lot), but always get back up... Persevere with all the energy you have. It’s a trait that’s highly valued at Cyber Security Management. When things get tough, we have 5 minutes to complain, cry, grumble, and/or curse... But after those 5 minutes, we have to be back on top, ready to give our best and support our clients at the highest level."
